black tuesday?

In a creepy, almost “Dawn of the Dead” hour, the power went out at the store today. For a couple of minutes, in the back corner of the store, with no one around, you start to see things move when theres nothing there. Course it doesn’t help when Tom from sporting goods swears he say some one dart into another asle when you are walking up to the front of the store. Course after the lights go out, we have about 1/2 an hour to ring all the customers out and send them on their way. then we have to make sure all the doors are locked, and move up to Subway for an in the dark meeting. After the meeting, we took a break and came back into do the returns in the dark. Yeah. It was rather easy for me, cause I have a good idea where everything goes so I finished mine quick fast. In the darkess you can hear Martin yelling that all 1st shift can go home. By this point the punch clock can on save our punches cause its running on battery power. So now I have to make up an hour. Shouldn’t be that hard over the next couple of days. The only thing that we were worried about was the traffic lights in the area, they were all out. At the one light that I had to go through was mass friggin confusion.

Other than the power being out, it was a pretty good day. I was getting alot done. With the help of an ICS member, we killed 3 pallets of normal side counter candy. I was just getting ready to work out my out of stock reports, and take a break when the power went out. And I just realised that my out of stock reports are sitting on a stackbase between foods and pharmacy. God knows when the store is gonna get power, and get operational again. I heard about 6-8 hours. Geez the store is gonna look like crap.

CHAGRIN FALLS, Ohio (AP) — Maybe someday, officials will put up a statue marking this quaint village as the birthplace of “Calvin and Hobbes.”

Just don’t expect cartoonist Bill Watterson to attend the unveiling ceremony. It’s been nearly 10 years since he abruptly quit drawing one of the most popular comic strips of all time. Since then, he’s been as absent as the precocious Calvin and his pet tiger, err, stuffed animal, Hobbes….(Read more) Wow has it been 10 years already? I still remember getting my 1st Calvin & Hobbes book. Seeing thefinal strip still brings a tear to my eye. Its so full of hope, and excitment. *sniff*

I’m still trying to figure out what to get Crystal for Christmas. I really have no idea. Crystal is having problems with her digital camera. But maybe I’ll get her this…

Haha!! You think I would post what I am getting here here?!
