Ok. So on top of being sick and looking forward to the weekend, The one bright spot I had was the possiblity of getting the Electronics Department Manager position. I got called into the office and Sam told me in no fewer then 3000 words that I didn’t have the job. What I gathered form it was, he didn’t think I could handle it. One of the points he brought up was that I’d have to work frieght and do the mods. Um, hello bastard, thats what I have been doing for 10 freakin months. True I do have an associate, but its easier for me to do the work than to drag his ass out of the candy, that he can play in for 8 hours at a time. You want the list of management that I’ve talked to and have been blown off:

1. Christina. She said, “Deal with it.”
2. Rob. He laughed. Thought it was a big joke. The he did something about it. The associate whined to the store manager, and he changed everything back.
3. Bill. “Give me some time”.
4. Martin. See above.
5. Co-Manager Dave. “Let me get the staffing issues under control first. Um, isn’t he a “staffing issue”?

It feels like everytime I go in there, they are setting me up to fail. I really would like to move up, but repeatley they are not giving me the chance. One assistant manager has even told me, any other department (other than electronics) would be a step down. Nice.
